ADOPTION OF SCIENCE ELECTRONIC LABORATORY PRACTICAL TEACHING AND LEARNING AT POST COVID-19 PANDEMIC ERA IN PUBLIC SENIOR SENCORDARY SCHOOLS IN GWAGWALADA

The study was carried out to evaluate the prospects, challenges and strategies in the adoption of science e- laboratory practical at post COVID-19 pandemic era in public senior secondary schools in Gwagwalada, Abuja. Three (3) specific objectives guided the study based on how e-teaching and learning can be use to conduct laboratory practical, prospects and strategies for the adoptions. The study adopted the survey research design. The population of the study was composed of twenty nine (29) science educators and twelve (12) computer science educators. The instrument developed by the researches, validated and tested for reliability at 0.71 was administered on the forty one (41) respondents. Data generated were analyzed by mean statistics to answer the formulated research questions. Data analyzed from the study were interpreted from the ground mean scores. The findings showed that many e-learning platforms can be adopted to teach and learn science practical at post- COVID-19 pandemic era. However, various strategies that could be adopted would be marred by many challenges. Based on the educational implications of these findings, recommendations were made which includes Educational Public Private Partnership in the design, production and supply of laboratory e- learning material to public schools.
